Website Development

Background: In today’s day and age, a website has turned into more than just a website. It serves as an electronic business card and a marketing tool; it’s no longer a luxury but rather a necessity of running a business.

Problem: A local business wanted to redo their website, however there were quite a few hurdles for them to overcome. While there are many tools to pick from, such as templates, website builders, and plug-ins, they lack complete customization and force you to pick and choose certain aspects that are desired while sacrificing others. This was made worse by the influx of marketing companies building websites, as they don’t have as much control as a software company.

Solution: Eixsys assessed the client’s needs and provided a long term projection and a comprehensive solution. A custom built website was recommended, which allowed for each necessary tool to be implemented into the website, such as e-commerce solutions like a shopping cart, as well as a live chat and a customer portal. The portal allowed for customers to make their own accounts on the website.

Result: There was an increase in customer satisfaction due to the live chat and ability to receive information at all times. The new e-commerce additions to the website added revenue, as they now had another avenue to sell their product. The customer portal also simplified the consumer’s experience, as they were able to keep track of their orders in one location.

Tracking and Reporting, a SaaS Model

Background: Guard based security companies offers comprehensive solutions for today’s security challenges. As a leader in security management, they strive to exceed their client’s expectations. Guards are assigned to various locations and regions in order to provide on-site or on-foot/vehicle patrols. Different types of reports are generated based on the incident encounters and submitted to the client.

Problem: Paper based reports, tracking of guards, scheduling and a systematic approach to easily and efficiently keep track of, organize, and relay information regarding each assignment.

Solution: The Eixsys team built a Software as a Service (SaaS) model in the secure cloud offering security companies and their clients with a dynamic web-based portal to manage clients, guards, schedules and reporting capabilities with role-based access for clients to view reports. Assigned security officers utilize mobile applications (Android + iOS) to report record incidents, manage their schedules and assigned tasks.

Result: The solution allowed for ease and convenience scheduling guards, assigning patrol routs, ability to reduce paperwork, reduce duplication on data entry and visibility of officer’s locations (AVL/GPS). Guards are also able to upload any reports and pictures, making collaboration with other guards or clients simple and efficient.
The project provided the following deliverables:
• A dynamic cloud-based guard scheduling system
• Ability to setup patrol routes, and facility-based
tasks with descriptions.
• Ability for clients to view/save/print reports
• Improved business operation through Automation

Telehealth Application

Background: Across all types of medical provider settings, telemedicine applications are rapidly evolving due to the demand in consumer trends which are shifting from office visits, phone calls, and home visits to a quick rapid telehealth solution.

Problem: Telehealth Applications are a very costly development due to native Android and iOS. Developing on iOS and Android pose different challenges, as they’re developed in different languages, for different devices, and have different testing times, just to name a few. One of our clients required a solution to a few issues they had, such as scheduling for both their patients and employees.

Solution:Eixsys developed a telemedicine platform as a module ready to be integrated in any cloud-based clinical workflow for hospitals, medical practices, and other healthcare networks. We can integrate and design an interoperable telehealth Software as a Service (SaaS) for video-conferencing medical consultations, sharing clinical and administrative data, transmitting images and remotely monitoring patients.

Result: This project delivered two client branded mobile applications, one each for iOS and Android. The app itself alleviated complexities of user experiences and provided secure HIPAA compliant video conferencing. The provider portal allowed a streamlined, efficient system for receiving and managing calls.

Rx Formulary

Background: Insurance companies are required to provide on their website as online readable or printable format of all medication formulary by tier levels one of four, five or six categories known as copayment or coinsurance, based on drug usage, cost and clinical effectiveness. This allows consumers to review the covered formulary before they select the plan.

Problem: The Rx Formulary are constantly updated, and health plans end up displaying formulary file published by PBM instead of displaying

Solution: Eixsys has built an online digital solution with search, detail inquiry and printing capabilities allowing a complete digital Rx Formulary, to be imported as a text file using upload tools with edits and error reporting.

Result: The consumer has the opportunity for a dynamic search for an Rx Formulary, as well as the ease of members being able to print a PDF of all drugs available on his or her plan. As this feature is conveniently built into the member mobile app, it eliminates the need for a carrier inquiry.

Real Estate Property Data Collection

Background: Our client is a Contemporary Real Estate Agency that offers a tailored and personalized experience to its clients. They are a full service commercial & residential real estate brokerage. As a Real Estate Brokerage, they have represented individuals, business owners, medical professionals, engineers and non-profit organizations in successful acquisitions, lease and sales of various types of commercial and residential properties.

Problem: Independent realtors and agencies face the challenge of competing with big name Multi Listing Service (MLS) websites. In order to stay toe to toe with them, Internet Data Exchange, or IDX, to list and display houses with their details directly on their website is key.

Solution: Since 2013, Eixsys is an Authorized IT vendor on behalf of the client to obtain RETS feed on a daily basis through the ACTRIS data licensing program offered by Austin Board of Realtors®, ABOR. For over 5 years, Eixsys gained a sound understanding of RESO Data Dictionary, which entails MLS and extensive property data. Our services include property data extraction and loading to an in-house database base server in order to aggregate and optimize data analytics and reports of property market and IDX listings.

Result: The deliverable was production of analytic and trend reports that show what direction investors are moving towards. These reports provide recommendations and a level of detail that reflects current market trends according to the US census.

Provider Portal

Background: All participating providers in an insurance network requires constant access to patient information to check Eligibility, receive Authorizations, submit Claims, view Explanation of Payment (EOP) and perform many other administrative functions. Insurance companies provides a self-service online portal as a tool to support their administrative needs. The web portal concept was developed to avoid high volume phone calls and being information being available at the providers leisure anytime of the day.

Problem: The biggest challenges are portal adoption, security, access control, training, redundant data storage and maintaining the operational cost. On the other hand, in the healthcare IT marketplace there are already universal provider portals, that manage security and access control, but at the cost of high maintenance or a per transaction cost.

Solution: At EIXSYS, we have developed a lightweight, role-based provider portal using the pre-built CORE Phase I and II certified “EIXSYS Gateway” for multiple Health Plans. The advantage gained here is a centralized data repository, data security, and low evelopment and maintenance cost with online help and training modules. This allows for provider offices to assign users bases on their roles to access verify member eligibility, submit claims and check their status, submit and confirm authorizations, view detailed patient panel roster, their medical records, gaps in care, and many other features and functionalities to engage the member with provider community specially with primary care provider.

Result: Providers are at ease, and the convenience of accessing pertinent information directly from their computer eliminates the need for lengthy phone calls. This portal allows providers to check claim status, verify eligibility, and access a patient’s medical record, patient medications, panel roster, view gaps in care, keep track of patient’s last date of visit, keep up to date with preventative testing, and improved health outcomes. Through our portal, data delivery increases member and provider collaboration.

Provider Directory Solution

ACA COMPLIANCE (PROVIDER DIRECTORY)

Industry: PROVIDER DIRECTORY

Background: Health Plan’s inaccuracies in provider directories hinder consumers’ ability to identify network provider. Inaccuracies also make it hard for finding the right plan and manage healthcare cost. ACA required all QHPs make in and out of network provider’s information transparent

Problem: The information displayed on the Provider directory is constantly updating. The provider’s location, contact information, specialty, medical group, institutional affiliations are constantly being updated. This process is high maintenance as insurers are required to update the directory once a month.

Solution: A Real-Time Provider Directory update is the immediate solution. When using the credentialing system, this information is automatically integrated, to update online provider directory and backend claims system.

Background: Health Plan’s inaccuracies in provider directories hinder consumers’ ability to identify network provider. Inaccuracies also make it hard for finding the right plan and manage healthcare cost. ACA required all QHPs make in and out of network provider’s information transparent.

Result: Time management, as we can upload delegated credentialing, saving time and avoiding costly errors. Accuracy of referrals and authorizations, as providers can be accurately verified as an in-network provider prior to submission.

Preventive Care

Background: Preventative care is to identify gaps in patient care and notify the provider for important performance measure in health care where improvements can make a meaningful difference in patient health.

Problem: A major healthcare insurance company identified Emergency Room admissions by chronic patients as a primary driver of unnecessary claims costs. These patients tended to neglect planned care such as tests, medicines, or check-ups, and primary care physicians had no way to monitor these lapses in real time. This resulted in gaps in care that too often became critical, driving up the cost of care.

Soulution EIXSYS developed a monitoring system that monitored Claims information and provided early intervention when planned care was not followed. The solution involved collecting chronic care patient data from Payer databases and mapping this data with the Provider network rosters. This information was then ‘pushed’ automatically as alerts to the primary care physician in realtime, allowing the physician to intervene with the patient immediately. This solution can also generate patient alerts as reminders.

Result: The Insurance company was able to save $12 million dollars in annual costs. This money that had previously paid for Emergency Room visits was now diverted to low-cost preventive care, such as checkups, regular testing, and medicine.

Ongoing System Maintenance

Background: Seasoned software developers or consultants develop a turn-key IT solution with a complete software implementation, starting with software design, development, quality assurance testing, and software deployment. The system is then transferred for ongoing inhouse updates and maintenance.

Problem: In-house IT resources are managed, trained and retained. Many times, resources are not utilized completely but are retained to support the functionality in-case a need arises. High overhead IT maintenance and support costs are constantly increasing when technology upgrades or resources are unable to be retained. Ongoing System Maintenance.

Solution: Since resources are not utilized 100% for infrastructure, application, security, and support. Eixsys was contracted as outsource system maintenance company. Our strong project management supported by ticketing systems such as Jira and DevOps we were able to manage and maintain high performance applications with a drastically lower cost. Using these systems gives the ability to define workflow and increase productivity by managing daily tasks while tracking the progress of work.
